Ronnie Bernier Burnett
Ronnie Burnett brings an insider’s perspective to the unpredictable world of selective college admissions. A former admissions officer at Connecticut College, she evaluated thousands of applications, balancing the quantitative and qualitative elements that tell each student’s unique story. She also directed recruitment initiatives for BIPOC students, driving a 30% enrollment increase in her first admissions cycle.
Ronnie later led high-profile corporate citizenship and reputation management programs in the Fortune 500 space, honing her skills in strategic marketing and philanthropy. Her passion for education continued through board service. She was appointed the first Young Alumna Trustee at Wheaton College in Massachusetts where she created the first board-level Admissions Committee that dealt with issues of selectivity and retention. Later she served as Board Chair of the Academy of Communication and Technology successfully leading the school through two rounds of accreditation.
As the founder of Admissions Intelligence, and an EdTech entrepreneur, Ronnie balances a data-driven approach with insight from working on the other side of the desk evaluating applications and deciding which applicants gained admission. Ronnie advises families from the perspective of an application reader.
